Junior Varsity (JV) Camp is a one-week, co-ed camping opportunity for ages 13–15. This session includes lively worship during chapel, team challenge activities, riflery, archery, mountain biking, the ropes course, evening tournaments, free time, night games, and other amazing activities!
One day of the JV Camp session is dedicated to an off-camp trip where campers may hike to one of several nearby scenic sites or spend an afternoon swimming and enjoying time on the beaches of Lake Superior.
The mission of JV Camp is to introduce campers to Christ and build a foundation of faith through a supportive and caring environment. Morning and evening chapel sessions target issues that are relevant and meaningful to this age group. The counselors and staff are dedicated to encouraging campers with kindness, support, and Biblical truths to help them navigate the late middle school and high school years.

OUR DIRECTORS
John and Sarah Lauch grew up attending Harvest Bible Church in the Southwest Detroit area where they eventually got married in 2021 and are currently serving as youth leaders. Sarah grew up going to UPBC as a camper, and has served as a summer staffer, counselor, and the children’s director at Family Camp I. John found an immediate passion for UPBC and has jumped in with both feet as he combines his management and development skills with Sarah’s skills in children’s ministry and education. They are excited to lead an amazing program staff and counselors to the ultimate goal of introducing campers to Jesus Christ, and encouraging them to grow more like Him.
