MEMORIAL SERVICE WEEK

NOTE: A CHANGE FOR THIS YEAR - Our traditional Memorial Work Weekend is being extended! While you still have the option of simply coming for the holiday weekend, you're now invited to stay for the remainder of the week at camp as well. Due to space demands, we have shifted our traditional Family Service Week to now be in conjunction with Memorial Weekend.

So what happens during Memorial Service Week? Every year, a group of volunteers takes this holiday weekend opportunity to head north and work at camp. After sitting under many feet of snow over the winter, the grounds and buildings are in need of attention! People of all ages are welcome to serve by raking leaves, cleaning cabins, doing repairs, etc. Please note: if you're under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by an adult. At the end of days filled with hard work and delicious meals, camp friends also pause for a time of fellowship. We enjoy evening chapel times together, featuring music and inspiring messages.

OUR DIRECTORS

Dan Cooper and Phil Wielenga will be teaming up to run this week of camp in 2017. They bring many years of camping experience as well as a good understanding of camp facilities and what projects need to be taken care of. We're thankful for their leadership!

DATES & RATES

May 26 - June 2, 2017

There's no charge to attend this week. We take an offering to help cover the meal costs.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Memorial Service Week is a wonderful opportunity for youth groups to serve at camp. We would love to have your group join us! Youth leaders—consider bringing your group and incorporating service projects, your own group devotional sessions, and a team building/ropes course experience into the week or weekend. It could prove to be a memorable and bonding experience for all!
