MEET JEFF & ANGIE
Coordinators of Gwinn Area Outreach
Jeff and Angie Martin have been sowing seeds of the kingdom of God in the Gwinn school district since 2005, primarily reaching out to teens from non-Christian backgrounds.
With the help of a team of volunteers, the Martins lead a youth group for middle and high school students in the KI Sawyer neighborhood, conduct outreach within the schools, periodically run after-school Bible studies, mentor a number of teens and young adults, and direct youth retreats at UPBC.
Jeff and Angie have a heart for Christian community development at KI Sawyer, and have purchased a fixer-upper there with the intention of moving into the neighborhood with their children Ellie, Emma, Hosanna, and Josiah for a more effective ministry presence.
Their hope is that ten years from now the teens they are working with today will be walking with Christ, participating in a local church, enjoying healthy relationships, gainfully employed, and making disciples—starting with those closest to them.
UPBC wants every penny you give to go to the missionaries. This is why we prefer to receive checks (or bill-pay) over online donations, as making online donations via credit card results in processing fees. However, we get it! Online payments are quick and easy via the button at the bottom of the screen. Checks should be made out to “UPBC Missions Committee” and sent to the address below.
