We are excited to welcome Nathan to our missions team! He will be serving seasonally as our Buildings & Projects Manager. Nathan will begin in January 2027, serving for the winter months, primarily focusing on construction of the new camper cabin. He’ll head back to southern Michigan for the spring and return to UPBC for the summer of 2027. Moving forward, he’ll be serving during the busy summer months when camp is in full swing. In southern Michigan for the other portion of the year, Nathan will continue in his current job, growing in the skills and knowledge that he’s applying at camp.

Growing up, I can’t remember a time that I didn’t know my way around camp. From starting as a family camper many years ago, to a boys and jv camper, to serving on summer staff. Camp has always held a special place in my heart. Being challenged in my faith and gaining confidence in who God has made me to be, I can confidently say that God has used camp to change my life. And now I have the beautiful opportunity to pour into camp and those it reaches as I have been.
God has blessed my life with a desire to pursue new skills and work in a variety of the trades which has equipped me for this role, where each day has its own unique task whether maintaining camp’s much used buildings, or constructing new projects from the ground up. God has called me to use my gifts in a way that answers my passions for camp and children’s ministry.
